Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt
This course is delivered in a Virtual setting with a live instructor in two convenient 4-hour sessions.
The Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt course is a foundational learning program designed to provide essential core competencies for managing processes. It is also the first of the three Advanced Yellow Belt courses which are prerequisites to enrolling in the highly acclaimed ets Green Belt Certification program.
The following concepts and skills are learned and applied in this full day program:

Discuss the role of measures in process management and how to determine the most effective ones for your process.

Flow chart your process so that the best flow and opportunities for improvement can be easily identified.

Apply two Lean tools to your process which can be implemented immediately to reduce waste in the workplace.

Apply the most important tools for analyzing data and prioritizing problems in a process.

Discuss process variation and how to quantify it.

Review the DMAIC method and discuss how tools learned in class are applied in each step.

Lean Six Sigma DMAIC
This course is delivered in a Virtual setting with a live instructor in two convenient 4-hour sessions.
The DMAIC course is designed to provide participants with the essential logic concepts and problem-solving tools to systematically analyze and improve any process. Emphasis is placed on the 5 DMAIC steps, the 33 roadmap checkpoints, and the application of the appropriate analytical tools for each step and situation. This course is the second of the three Advanced Yellow Belt courses which are prerequisites to enrolling in the highly acclaimed ets Green Belt Certification program.
The following objectives will be achieved in this one-day program:

Review and discuss the five DMAIC method steps and 33 roadmap checkpoints.

Apply the most impactful tools and techniques and discuss when to apply them.

Review the different types of data and how to use this knowledge when approaching problems.

Discuss how to maximize benefits throughout the DMAIC methodology by emphasizing the Cost of Poor Quality and Return on Investment.

Evaluate a DMAIC project case study by applying the ets DMAIC checklist and scoring methodology.

Project Management for Lean Six Sigma
This course is delivered in a Virtual setting with a live instructor in two convenient 4-hour sessions.
This course is designed to ensure project teams have the skills necessary to develop and effectively implement countermeasures to eliminate root causes discovered when applying the DMAIC methodology. Emphasis is placed on risk analysis, action plans, and determining project Return on Investment. Participants are also taught how to documents results, standardize improvements, and identify opportunities for continuous process improvement. This course is the third of the three

Review the five phases of project management and how to apply them to process improvement.

Discuss how project management supports the Six Sigma DMAIC methodology.

Apply the essential tools of project management including the five phases of team development, Work Breakdown Structure, Action Planning, Return on Investment, and how to document Lessons Learned.

Discuss how to evaluate project effectiveness and calculate Return on Investment.

Review the next steps necessary to register for the Green Belt Certification program.

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
This training is delivered virtually with live instructors in ten 4-hour sessions over the span of 90 days.
The Green Belt Certification program is designed to develop expertise with Lean Six Sigma through the direct application of tools and techniques on a strategic organizational issue. Participant teams are facilitated through process improvement by ets Master Black Belts during the 5-day program in which they apply knowledge gained in the Advanced Yellow Belt series and additional tools learned for their specific project. The ets Green Belt program is among the most successful in the nation in terms of satisfaction, certification rate, and Return on Investment.
The following concepts will be discussed and applied in this program:

Quantify the need for improvement both in process performance and financial impact to the organization.

Analyze a process, identifying waste, and collecting appropriate data for selecting the most significant problem.

Determine and verify root causes and select effective and feasible countermeasures.

Develop a plan to implement countermeasures and quantify the impact of a project, both in performance, financial impact and Return on Investment.

Communicate the problem and solution in a logical, factual way.

Please note that the ets Green Belt Program is taught using applied knowledge to student’s organizational projects. Teams of at least 2-3 participants per team project are recommended, and individual teams although allowed, are discouraged due to work load required for certification.
